Anyone with an elegant yet fun Bali wedding in mind can take a page of Natasha and Brodie’s wedding in Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. It was picture perfect.
As Natasha described:
The wedding didn’t have a particular theme but we wanted the wedding to be effortless, relaxed and cool and to also embrace the beauty of the beach and the sexy elegance of the Nusa Dua peninsula. We wanted to keep things simple and clean and to allow the natural beauty of Bali and Nusa Dua beach to shine through. We used touches of the beach and Bali throughout – woodcarvings, batik fans and some male guests even wore sarongs and the traditional peci. Our colour theme was white and blue.
And more tips and ideas:
Some cool touches:
– Wood carvings instead of name cards – these doubled as gifts to our guests
– Bridesmaid dresses were designed by a Sydney designer and each bridesmaid had a different design
– We gave fans to our guests as they arrived
-Polaroid camera accompanied the Guest Book… we got people to take a happy snap and stick it into the book with a little message for us
-We had a roaming band at dinner – the band took requests from our guests
-We named the tables instead of numbering them – we named them after places we have been – our favourite restaurant, beaches, etc.
-We had 3 parts to the wedding – the ceremony on the beach, the reception in the temple garden facing the beach and then an afterparty in another part of the hotel.
-Special designed invitations – batik print incorporated
Natasha and Brodie sure has it all on their sleeves :)
Congratulations, Natasha and Brodie, and thank you for the kind words!
